Welcome to the Central Hotel (formerly Tailors Hall Hotel)!
For visitors wishing to experience a true slice of lively Edinburgh culture and nightlife on their doorstep, this is the perfect hotel.
The Central Hotel has a colourful history spanning over 4 centuries, originally being built in 1621 for the Guild of Tailors. It was carefully and skilfully restored in 1998 to become the 3 star hotel it is today.
When staying at the Central Hotel, you will find a warm welcome and a fun, sparkling atmosphere. You will also notice an interesting blend between the past and present in modern comforts mingling with the classical architecture and artefacts of the building.
There are 42 en-suite bedrooms at the hotel, each designed to provide you with every modern comfort while preserving the traditional feel of the building.
The notorious Three Sisters Pub is part of the hotel, and this historic Edinburgh pub has a buzzing, friendly atmosphere with regular themed nights and a large cobbled courtyard where guests enjoy the merriment and bustle of Edinburgh’s Old Town at night.
The courtyard also features a large plasma screen, and heated areas for the colder months.
Breakfast is served daily in the Three Sisters and guests can choose between a full Scottish breakfast and a lighter continental breakfast to set them up for the day.
Throughout the day, guests can savour hearty food freshly prepared in the hotel’s kitchen and served in the cosy surrounds of the Three Sisters Bar.
